We receive many automated security reports that we have historically found to be of very low value. To be honest it made us a little cynical. But when we received the hand-vetted penetration results from Vertex, it was delightful to have such clearly articulated security concerns, with detailed specifics, and suggested remediation strategies. It was a great benefit to the security of our project, our customers, and our communities.

Vertex conducted security audits on the MITIE forum and our website. These sites are hosted by different third parties and serve different purposes. Following the audits we were provided with very comprehensive reports for each site and we were provided with thorough briefings during which each of the vulnerabilities identified were explained...The reports were also useful to us because they highlighted some changes we can make to underlying site settings to increase security. We had Martin from Vertex conduct a cyber security audit on our accounting and financial planning practice with 24 staff. Given Covid required a lot of our staff to work remotely and we were concerned about our data security and wanted to make sure we were managing this risk as best as possible. Martin conducted a thorough review, including detailed interviews with key staff to understand which systems we used and how we used them. At the end of the process we were provided with a detailed report and meeting with Martin to go through the risks identified and formulate an action plan to address the risks, starting with the critical ones. We are now working with our IT services team to complete these action items and as a business have far more piece of mind that we have been able to resolve some key data security improvements. I would highly recommend any business undertake these services, especially if you have a mobile workforce.
