This week (14-19th Nov 2022) is cyber week – where the best cyber experts across the country share their knowledge, experience, and insights through innovative discussions and debates.
AustCyber will be running the events both in-person and online. The in-person events will be held in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, and Canberra. Anyone can attend, and they are completely free of charge. Topics include:
- Diversity in Cybersecurity – Diversity is a key area of disparity in Australian security industry.
- Education and Workforce Skills – dealing with complexities facing the education and workforce skills gap.
- Cyber Skills & Education – how can we compete for talent and skills on the world stage.
The CEO of Vertex Cyber Security, Martin Boyd (former Executive Manager of Cyber Security for CBA and founder of Vertex Cyber Security), will be doing a workshop at 8.30-10.00am AEDT. The workshop will explore the risks that small companies face and give steps founders should take immediately to keep their business cyber secure. It will be held in Sydney at Stone & Chalk Startup Hub, as well as being streamed online.
