The announcement comes after all of the countries involved in the initiative have faced a growing number of China-linked hacking attacks, some impacting critical infrastructure.
This partnership will include:

- Sharing information and potential risks found in the supply chain for digitally-enabled products and surfaces (Think SolarWinds)
- Creating baseline standards for security in government procurement of goods and services
- Leveraging collective purchasing power
